Off to a poor start, England rode high after Jason Roy hit 7 boundaries and a six to score 52 off 48 balls, followed by Chris Woakes with 5 boundaries and 2 sixes to get 68 off 83 ball. Their innings powered England to their second straight  victory in the three-match ODI series. As the series comes to a thrilling end tomorrow, here are the possible key clashes between the sides from third ODI:

Joe Root and Jason Roy vs West Indies fast bowlers: Joe Root seemed impossible to be dismissed. He played a fine innings of an unbeaten 90, which came off 127 balls. Root has intimidated West Indies with his performance, and is expected to carry on the same way.

Roy has proved himself to be a menacing opener batsman and with his brilliant show in the second ODI he will be expected to carry on in the same passion. The fiery player has consistently managed to shake the base of West Indies’ middle order in both the ODIs. In the  first ODI, Plunkett returned with 4 for 40 off his 8.2 overs, whereas he claimed 3 for 32 in 7.5 overs in the second.
